Rocket came to town

Old friends, Jan and Greg (and a new little one-Rocket) came to visit today from Oregon. Just take a look at this handsome little devil.

The Fourth of July

Our neighborhood took part, once again, in Haddonfield's Fourth of July Parade. Our theme was "The Olympics" and, as always, it was a great time. The kids enjoyed handing out candy to the spectators and riding in our "float". We hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend!

The Supreme Court

So you thought that this blog was just about our kids, eh? Well, think again. Ron and I took a trip to D.C. in early June for my swearing in at the U.S. Supreme Court. It was pretty amazing and definitely a highlight of my career. We toured D.C. a bit and attended a court session, where I and several others were sworn in before the High Court. I can now argue cases at that level--anyone have one?? :-)!.

Nate's Birthday with BooBoo and Yogi Bear

When Nate turns 40, he'll still be looking back and reminiscing about his 4th birthday party at Jellystone Park. Or at least he better. We spent the weekend at Jellystone with Yogi and BooBoo and many close friends and family. It was a sleepover/pool party/nature excursion and camping trip all in one. A total blast!! We're so thankful to have so many great friends and family to share these memories with. Here are some of the shots:

From pink to purple to green

Evie had her first broken bone this Spring--her wrist. Fortunately, casts now come in a variety of colors so her healing process became more of a fashion experiment. She's all better now.

You can also see the evolution of our new porch in the pictures, which was our home improvement project. We are enjoying it fully, spending perhaps too much time reclining and relaxing. . .but isn't that what summer should be?
